hey! welcome to the blog.

Maybe, just maybe…this sweet face will make up for the months I’ve been absent on my blog and Facebook. We welcomed our third baby, Titus, at the end of August and let’s just say there’s not much downtime around here. We’ve adjusted now and I’m about to kick it into high gear with a busy […]

Titus and Toloha

A morning walk through a meadow is definitely a nod to Elizabeth Bennet, and it is a refreshing start to the day – especially when it involves a Senior Shoot. Abby’s shoot was postponed from an afternoon to a morning because of all this crazy rain we’ve been having. (See her night shoot sneak peek here.)

Abby | Senior Shoot Sneak Peek 2

Abby had her heart set on doing a night shoot for part of her senior portrait session, so we weren’t going to let a few summer DOWNPOURS stop us from getting out into the streets. We just hopped over the puddles we came across (and scheduled 4 rain dates – haha – that’ll teach em!). The daytime shoot had to be put on hold (see her day shoot sneak peek here), but I’m so excited to show you my faves from her night shoot!

Abby | Senior Shoot Sneak Peek 1

These three teen brothers took a break from their crazy busy end of the school year schedules for this portrait session as a gift for their sweet mom, Ashely, on the day after Mother’s Day. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the best gifts they’ve ever given her. Not because of my work, but because of their attitudes during the entire shoot.

A gift for a mom | family portraits

My Grandpa lived 97 years on this earth and this morning he passed away. He has left so much with us. His legacy of over 55 years of faithful marriage to my Grandma, who he is now reunited with in heaven, will forever encourage me that it is possible to beat statistics. He showed me […]

My dear grandfather

A wedding reception is not only a time for receiving a new couple after they pledge their vows of love to one another, but it is a celebration of their new life together – a party!  Sara and Taylor’s reception was just that – in every sense of the word. The dance floor was packed […]

Sara & Taylor Married! Part 2

Sara was simply glowing… in May last year when we met for our first wedding photography consultation, and I’m pretty sure she has never stopped. And Taylor… his joy was unabashedly evident. His smile was beaming when Sara and he were pronounced husband and wife. They had a beautiful sunny day at Walnut Creek Country […]

Sara & Taylor’s Wedding Sneak Peek

On Sarah and Kyle’s wedding day, two years ago, I saw they were going to make phenomenal parents. They interacted with their nieces in such a selfless way, and that was the one day they could have excusably been more selfish. (See their wedding photography here and here.) And the solid relationships Sarah and Kyle […]

Meet Owen | Newborn Portraits

When Sara walked down the aisle this Saturday, my prediction came true. Her beau of seven years was amazed and his jaw dropped. I told Sara in February at her bridal portrait session this would happen. She looked absolutely stunning. Her dress was practically made for her. She has a natural beauty that outshined her […]
