I have to hand it to these kids. Although I didn’t check the thermometer, I’m quite positive it was below freezing the day we did this portrait session. Even without coats, they never complained about the frigid weather. We made sure their mom was nearby with the car so they could hop in and warm […]
I follow a lot of other blogs, I mean, A LOT! Photog blogs, wedding, home design, mom, business, ministry… A LOT! One blog trend that I absolutely love and have wanted to start for some time is posting monthly goals. I am definitely a task-driven kind of person, so I’ve been setting goals since I […]
I have THE most trouble picking my favorites from newborn portraits and Emma is just so darn cute. Every photo I took was adorable, and that was all her doing. You may remember Ray and Stephanie from their maternity portraits on the beach at sunset. It was just a week after their maternity shoot, that […]
When I was a little girl, I wanted to live on a farm. I just imagined all the adventures I’d have with a bunch of animals, barns, big haystacks, tractors and all that land to run around and explore. I’m not sure if Chandler and Colleen have lots of adventures, but they definitely have fun! […]
I am going to start a Christmas tradition. Well, maybe I should say, continue one. Christmas tends to bring out the charitable side of a lot of people. It is a time to think about other people and give gifts. I love this part of Christmas, but really, it gives me greater joy when I […]
Well, little did we know at this maternity shoot that Ray and Stephanie only had one more week to prepare for little Emma Claire. Luckily the weather was good at the beach! We headed down to Swansboro to Stephanie’s family beach house to add to the great memories that have been made there. It was a bit chilly, which made for some cute cozy photos of Ray and Stephanie. Their heights are perfect for Stephanie to lay her head on Ray’s chest. So sweet! I love Stephanie’s jewelry. And I especially love that she went with tights for some of the photos!
Dez & Josh are having a baby! This is exciting for so many reasons. For one, they are going to be AMAZING parents. They are simply the two sweetest most uplifting people I know. Little Aslyn will definitely have no self esteem issues.
Two, they are my first bride and groom to come back to me for maternity portraits. This is one of my favorite things about being a portrait photographer. I get to mark the milestones in my clients’ lives and share in their joy.
Junior year of college, I was Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper and Joni was Assistant Editor. I ended up with double pneumonia because of our late hours of editing and layout (good times!). Joni and the other Assistant Editor brought me chicken noodle soup and told me to go home. They did all my work and got the whole issue finished for that week. That’s Joni. She is so selfless and dedicated.
And Nick, well, he’s totally head-over-heels. You should’ve seen him kiss her when they were pronounced man and wife. He knows he’s a lucky man! Plus, he’s a photographer, so he’s just awesome. They both are such genuine people, the best kind of people on earth. This match was meant to be.
The more I look at these photos, the more I am endeared to this couple. Right off the bat, Rebecca and her family proved to me that they are some of the sweetest, most kind and considerate people I’ve ever met. I was so thrilled to work with them for Tyler and Rebecca’s wedding. I […]
While I was at home last month, I had the chance to spend some time with my college roomie, who is also a professional photographer in the Akron-Canton area of Ohio (where we all went to Malone University). Nicole and I have been second shooting for each other for over two years whenever we get […]
