Let me tell you something, this family knows how to throw a party! I had the privilege of doing event photography for them last August at a special anniversary and birthday celebration and again last Saturday for Chris’s big 5-0! It was a very light-hearted time with lots of laughter and constant conversation. The atmosphere […]
Meet Will! Is he not the cutest?! Will is at such a fun age – only a few weeks older than my Declan. Will’s mama, Kristy, and I have determined they’re going to be great friends. As soon as the Will, Kristy and little Will arrived for their portrait session, I knew we would have […]
I loved this session because it really showed me how important it is to make my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera – I had to disappear into the background. Once I achieved this, it was so much easier for them to release their inhibitions and interact naturally. Ann really wanted to have […]
These sweet faces should be pretty familiar. The Martin family has probably graced the pages of my blog almost as often as my own family. I have been documenting their lives since they moved to Kinston before Emma Claire was born. You can see the little ones grow in all of their sessions on my […]
One of the best things about the portrait business is having the privilege of watching my clients’ children grow up. Each year, I have the opportunity to capture how their sweet faces change and they grow a couple inches in height. It’s a bonus when my clients are also our close friends, like Mike and […]
Maybe, just maybe…this sweet face will make up for the months I’ve been absent on my blog and Facebook. We welcomed our third baby, Titus, at the end of August and let’s just say there’s not much downtime around here. We’ve adjusted now and I’m about to kick it into high gear with a busy […]
A morning walk through a meadow is definitely a nod to Elizabeth Bennet, and it is a refreshing start to the day – especially when it involves a Senior Shoot. Abby’s shoot was postponed from an afternoon to a morning because of all this crazy rain we’ve been having. (See her night shoot sneak peek here.)
Abby had her heart set on doing a night shoot for part of her senior portrait session, so we weren’t going to let a few summer DOWNPOURS stop us from getting out into the streets. We just hopped over the puddles we came across (and scheduled 4 rain dates – haha – that’ll teach em!). The daytime shoot had to be put on hold (see her day shoot sneak peek here), but I’m so excited to show you my faves from her night shoot!
These three teen brothers took a break from their crazy busy end of the school year schedules for this portrait session as a gift for their sweet mom, Ashely, on the day after Mother’s Day. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the best gifts they’ve ever given her. Not because of my work, but because of their attitudes during the entire shoot.
