I am a dog lover. My favorite thing about dogs is their companionship – their longing for their peoples’ presence. As I sit here writing this post, my own dog is just a few feet away curled up on my rug and sleeping. The two of us are in the house alone. She could go anywhere, but she wants to be with me.
As I walked up the McPhaul’s driveway for their family portrait session, Newton, their loyal golden retriever met me with warmth and excitement. It was like he was saying, “Oh good, you’re here! Now let me bring you to my people,” as he walked me to the door. I’m not sure if Newton knew what he was in for, but he found my pocket of treats right away. He worked for those nuggets – sitting up straight and tall, even letting his tongue hang out just a bit – picture perfect! He was so proud!
Who wouldn’t take pride in being part of this beautiful family?! The McPhauls are kind and generous, and as I found out, hilarious! Morgan and William are also quite popular on the ball field and court! They are quite the athletes and I can’t wait to see them in action. I got to…just a little bit during our session. We had such a fun time!
John & Laura, thank you soooo much for working with me! It was so fabulous to hang out with you for a few hours. I hope I get to do it again! Your boys are so great and did such an amazing job… and so cute, too! As a mama of boys, I will forever have a soft spot for them. I can’t wait to see your collage of pictures up on the wall!
