These local ladies know how to pull off the Boho look and were the inspiration for our upcoming Model Shoot. You may be surprised to find a lot of Boho style in your closet. Take a look. Here are some ways you can incorporate the Boho look with your wardrobe:
- Put a hat on it. Felt hats are still in this season – take it from Urban Outfitters if you don’t believe me.
- Add a Kimono. These light robes have taken the place of scarves (although I will always wear scarves). Find one at H&M and Urban Outfitters.
- Try Muted Jewel-tones and Neutral Solids and Patterns. A Bohemian is really a subtle version of a hippie 🙂 The jewel-tones and intricate patterns play on the rich dyes that were used in native costumes which heavily influence the Boho look.
- Go with the flow. Loose tops, dresses, skirts and locks that sway give off that laid-back vibe.
- Accent with Beadwork, Flora & Fauna, Embroidery, Fringe and Feathers. These details will give you the artistic flare of Boho Style and draw in the native elements that inspired the look.
- Lace-up your Strappy sandals and chunky heels. Barefoot is always preferred, but the next best thing to free your feet are straps and comfy thick heels.
- Wrap it up. Hair wraps and head bands keep those loose locks in order while still giving off the care-free look.
- Wear your sunglasses. Shades are a must because you are always out enjoying the sun. Fun circles and shapes are the perfect fit for this style.
