In Kentucky, the sun goes down a lot later than in Eastern NC. So around 8pm, when I ventured out with Josiah’s brother and his family to the front ridge of his parents’ ranch, we were right in the middle of the golden hour in all it’s perfection. We live 11 hours apart so I was determined to do a shoot with them during this visit, and this light was an unexpected gift.
My niece and nephew were all giggles and goofiness, which I love and is totally them. Oh those blue eyes and smiles! There is a special spot in my heart for these guys. And my littles absolutely adore them and talk about them constantly, even though we spend a total of 10-15 days together every year. (Not enough!) My 3 can’t wait to hang some of these portraits in their rooms to remind them of their cousins every day.
Ryan & Christy, we miss you so much! It was fun hanging out with you and your awesome kids. Seriously, they amaze me. Thank you for constantly encouraging me in my art and being my faithful subjects. Wow! How things have changed since that first maternity shoot. Love y’all!
