Kyle & Sarah | Maternity Portraits

The relationships with my clients bring me so much joy. I try to keep connected with them, and I love to watch the story of their lives unfold. It warms my heart when past clients call me a couple years after a shoot or wedding and ask for me to walk alongside them again (with my camera) for another very important event in their lives. Kyle and Sarah are these types of clients.

I photographed their wedding in 2011 (see their wedding sneak peeks here and here), and now they are expecting their first son, Owen. When Sarah emailed me about doing their maternity and newborn portraits, I was filled with delight. Kyle and Sarah are always forthcoming with encouragement and appreciation. They are just good people. They are seeking God and loving others with their lives. It is evident.

And they are in love and are choosing to love one another. You can’t fake that. It is real. It runs deep in their hearts. I loved capturing the essence of that in their maternity portraits. At one point I told them to “just be together.” That’s all it took to get that genuine relationship with each other to shine.

I love their outfits, especially the bow tie and yellow pearls! Little Owen is going to be one stylish dude, especially in those Converse sneakers. Love it!

Owen, you have some amazing parents. I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! Kyle and Sarah, I am praying for you as you welcome this precious boy into your lives. Enjoy it! See you soon!
