I could go on and on about how much I love this couple. When they have fun, they go all out! They love all things creative and unique. Their wedding was about as DIY as you can get. They have an amazingly talented and creative group of very dedicated friends that helped personalize every detail of the wedding day. From Claire’s dress to the Alison Wonderland cornhole boards that were set out at the reception everything had a special touch. My second shooter, Rachel Ricks did a brilliant job capturing these details. I love all the signs posted around the venue and decorations hanging from the trees. (You can see Claire’s Bridals here and Chris and Claire’s Wedding Day Part 1 here.)
The entire wedding day took place at an amazing venue, the Pamlico House Bed and Breakfast in Little Washington, NC. During the ceremony, I loved Chris and Claire’s expressions as the gazed at one another. Chris just had the sweetest look on his face when he grasped Claire’s hands after they shared their vows.
We had the benefit of being a short walk to the waterside so we took advantage of it. We had some fun with the bridal party shots – using Chris and Claire’s first date (a film about zombie Nazi’s) as inspiration.
The sun was setting as we got to the romantic portraits of Chris and Claire, and the light was just dreamy. Nothing too serious with these two, though. They just couldn’t stop smiling.
The reception went into the night and this group was just a blast to photograph – so much laughter, dramatic expressions and just plain hilarity. Like I said in their Wedding Day Part 1 blog post, this crew kept me laughing all day long! I was just so thankful for such a cheerful atmosphere. It just goes to show that this couple is so loved by their family and friends.
Chris and Claire, I wish y’all the best. It was such a privilege getting to know you. I admire what you do on a daily basis and I’m so joyful you found each other. I pray your marriage is full of bliss and unending in love! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
