{In 2015, Lindsay dropped the business name Three Eleven Photography to simplify life and connect with clients in a more personal way. Please excuse the old watermarks on these images. Read more about the name change here: https://lindsaycorrigan.com/a-new-look-for-lindsay/}
Since things got REALLY crazy during November and December, I wasn’t able to blog all of my sessions. Sooo… I thought it would be fun to blog them as “the 12 Sessions of Christmas” in the last few days before Christmas. The last day – Christmas day – will be our family!
For the third session of Christmas came some familiar faces – the Wiggins family! It’s always sweet to do portrait sessions with my friends. Everyone is relaxed right off the bat. There are no introductions or formalities. Thankfully, most of my clients become my friends, so I get to reach this level at most of my photo shoots.
The kiddos are already comfortable and I already know what faces to capture that really show their personalities. Lesley is a studious and stylish young lady and just like her mama. T just likes to laugh – all the time. This leads to Lesley laughing, too, which is, of course, my goal. I just have to say a few “choice words” and they all burst out laughing. Maybe one day, I’ll divulge my secret words that I use to get kids to giggle. I’m sure you can guess a few.
At every family session, if time and children permit, I try to grab a couple of shots of husband and wife together. I try to avoid the prom poses, but sometimes, it’s tough – they usually start out awkward because a lot of people haven’t been photographed as a couple since their wedding. I have to let the pose just kinda happen. I, of course, try to get them to laugh and Stacey gave me one of my favorite couple shots ever. It is totally Stacey and shows such a picture of her and Mike’s relationship. I can’t even explain it, but the picture tells it.
Mike and Stacey, thank you for working with me again! I am so glad we got a session in this Fall! Love y’all! I’m so thankful you are in our lives!
If you are considering a session for Christmas 2015, please note that our last session date for Christmas cards is December 5th! I get booked pretty quickly, so grab your spot early!
