I have to hand it to all my clients and volunteer assistants, Evan and Elizabeth, who came out Saturday afternoon for the Mini Sessions for water to benefit the Toloha Partnership Water Program. The weather forecast called for rain…cold rain. It would have been so fun if there had been a dry snow, but no…cold rain. For Friday night’s sessions, it was 68 degrees! (See those sessions here and here.) Saturday afternoon, it was just above freezing and when it’s been in the 70’s for two days, the cold is pretty shocking.
The Killinger family was the first to brave the cold and they really kicked off the afternoon! We had so much fun with them. We even laughed between shivers. I think little Holland’s teeth were chattering, but look how cute she is! I love her fur vest! I had her and her brothers do some jumping to help keep warm. There was not a word of complaint the whole time. They were so fun in frigid weather, and I can’t wait to do another portrait session with them again this Spring when it’s warm.
Rickie and Karyn, thank you so much for your generosity and flexibility! It has been such a pleasure working with y’all! Your kids are so polite and fun! Walt, Holden and Holland, y’all are so great. Thank you for trusting me, sitting in uncomfortable positions on cold concrete and having fun for these portraits. I hope y’all love this sneak peek – there’s plenty more to see soon!
