Chris’s big 5-0!

Let me tell you something, this family knows how to throw a party! I had the privilege of doing event photography for them last August at a special anniversary and birthday celebration and again last Saturday for Chris’s big 5-0!

It was a very light-hearted time with lots of laughter and constant conversation. The atmosphere was very lively. The venue the Grimesland Plantation Dairy Barn. During cocktail hour on the first floor, several large flat screen TV’s lined the walls showing the day’s games and were surrounded by comfy couches. Guests were served oysters, shrimp, kettle chips and popcorn. Beverages were available at the bar or in the repurposed feeding troughs filled with ice – so imaginative!

Upstairs, guests entered a very luxurious rustic setting. Beautiful leather upholstered chesterfield sofas were set up in lounge areas and reclaimed wood tables framed the room. Oh! And it smelled heavenly! Guests filled their plates with everything from wild game to raspberry cheesecake. It was delicious.

Sol Fusion kept the energy high with some truly amazing music. (If you need a band for an event, call them. Seriously. They are incredibly talented. They rocked it.) And then there was dancing! Guest shed their inhibitions to bust a move on the dance floor. I have to admit… I laughed quite a bit, but I was definitely laughing with them.

It was a pleasure to capture such a great night! Ivy Robinson Events pulled it all together with a bang!

Chris and Ann, you have a beautiful family. Y’all make me miss mine! It was so fun to capture this night for you. I hope you can relive it over and over through the years.

Ivy, truly amazing work. You completely transformed the space but also brought out the beauty of that gigantic barn. People are going to be talking about that party for years.
