Meet Leslie and Timothy. Their parents, Mike and Stacey, made the transition from one child to two shortly before my husband and I became friends with them. Now that we have also made that jump, I finally understand all the jokes Stacey makes like, “The dog licked it? Oh well, he’s the second child.” Not only have we followed Mike and Stacey into this phase of life, but our children are the same genders and distance apart in age so Stacey pointed out that this session was kind of a glimpse into my future.
Well, I think I like how the future looks. We had such fun at the session spending the afternoon in the sun on a beautiful autumn day. We got to play “duck, duck, goose” and “tickle monster.” Timothy even named a rock “Booty” and thought that was hilarious. Leslie was a huge help just like big sisters should be and I am so thankful my daughter has her as an older friend. I was blessed to have my assistant Mackenzie with me and the kids adored her. She showed them a game on my stepladder and they were having so much fun, we decided to use it as a prop (never thought I’d do that!). Oh, and Timothy loves a Fedora!
Mike, Stacey, Leslie and T, thank you so much for spending the afternoon creating memories with me. I loved it! I know we’ll make many more together and I’m looking forward to it.
