I started to get really ecstatic about Claire and Chris’s October wedding when I asked her where she was getting her gown and she told me her friend was making it in a 1940’s vintage style. And then for her Bridal Portraits, she told me, “Think Katharine Hepburn!” Ummm…yes please! I have been in love with 1940 and 50’s Hollywood since about the age of ten. No kidding.
This session was a dream come true. We met at Tryon Palace in New Bern – absolutely gorgeous! And the gracious security guard let us stay past closing. So, ya, we had the palace gardens all to ourselves. I’m pretty sure Claire felt like a duchess or something.
She looked like one, too. She is a complete knock-out with her red lips, lace gown and hand-made cage veil. And just look at her bouquet – it is made of fabric flowers and brooches. She has some creatively crafty and very dedicated friends!
As you are reading this I am capturing Claire and Chris’s wedding day at the Pamlico House in Little Washington and I know it’s going to be a party. I just can’t wait!
