the Run to Rescue was awesome!

So last Saturday was amazing! Little ol’ Kinston hosted the very first 5k Race for She Is Safe called the Run to Rescue. With 70 super fast runners and walkers and sooo many generous sponsors, we were able to raise over $3,000 for She Is Safe! I had the privilege of documenting the Spaghetti Dinner (benefitting SAFE in Lenoir County) the night before and all the activities of the race day.
It was just a fun day!
These last three photos are the all-around women’s and men’s winners and the little sweetheart who was a big part of the inspiration of our courageous leader, Grant, to organize this race.
Congratulations to all the participants! Grant, you did an amazing job! And thank you so much to Ian from She Is Safe for traveling all the way from Atlanta to run and share your vision with us! We were so honored to host you in our home. We really enjoyed the inspiring discussions!
