It was so beautiful today and my friend, Courtney and I decided to get out and take a walk (it was a loooong walk and we may have trespassed, but I’m not saying where). Before we headed out the door, I grabbed my camera because I was stumped on ideas for today’s photo. We stopped halfway and let the kids play on a playground. I decided to practice showing motion. I had about five minutes, that’s all you get with a two almost three year old, and I am pleased with how they turned out. I had to include a shot of my little blue-eyed man, too. Uh! I could get lost in those baby blues.
So how’d I do it? My ISO is set at 160, my aperture is set at f/5.0 and my shutter speed is 1/50. I am using my 50 mm 1.8 (the “fantastic plastic”) and my Canon EOS 5D. I focused on her and panned horizontally while she ran. There you have it. Now get out there and show that movement. And if you’re feeling brave, post a couple shots and share a link where we can see them in the comments below.
