A little life update

March 27, 20261 min read

In case we don't know each other, I want to introduce myself & to those who've been with me for a while, I want to give you an exciting life update. You can see some of the hats I wear in my little graphic above.

I'm Lindsay Corrigan. I started my photography business in 2006 when I shot my very first wedding. I was a newlywed at the time and traveling for weddings or giving up whole weekends was easy, but 3 kids later, I decided to focus on my family and only offer portraits as I began to homeschool, too. Well, 12 years of homeschooling is about to come to a close. All 3 of my kids will be in school for Mckenna's final year of high school (y'all I'm getting teary-eyed just typing that). I will be transitioning to running this business full-time for the first time ever. It is bittersweet, but I'm super excited because that means I get to work with more of you to create amazing portrait experiences!!

Check out the timeline of my photography journey below.

5 Tips to Make the Most of a Blue Sky in Portraits without a Flash.

Published on: 17/02/2023

One mistake a lot of portrait photographers make constantly is to blow out the sky in their portraits. Raise your hand if that is ever you. My hand is up with you. I have plenty of portraits with the sky completely blown out. And sometimes that is unavoidable - on a gray day or when I want to use backlighting from the sun. But when you have a blue sky like the one below, you want that blue to make it through in your images. Here's how to make it happen without a flash.
