Emma // Class of 2018

Emma // Class of 2018

Emma’s session was totally rad. Look at those pink tortoise shell cat eye glasses! Emma has such a signature style – and her glasses have a lot to do with it. And not everyone can pull off a deep berry lip color – but it looks perfect on her. This gal is so delightful and fun to be around. Her laugh is contagious which is what makes her shine on stage. Even in her latest role as Wednesday Adams, she made the audience laugh and swoon. It was such a perfect part for her with her depth of character, seriousness about what she loves and passion for life. I can NOT wait to see where she goes in this life. Oh, and I may be embarrassing her, but doesn’t see give off that Natalie Portman vibe with the lightheartedness of Keira Knightley? She definitely has star quality 🙂 Emma, Renee & John, it has been SUCH a blessing getting to know your family this year. I love discussing all the arts with y’all whenever we see each other! Emma, you are going to have a grand adventure these next few years! I hope you had amazing send off with these senior...

What to Wear – Senior Shoots

What to Wear – Senior Shoots

One fun part of my job is helping clients coordinate their outfits for the shoot. A question I get asked constantly, is “what should I wear????” I put together a little list to give you a starting point. After that, I’d love to help! Every Senior who books a Solo Shoot with me, gets a complimentary consultation to go over wardrobe and details. I literally will go through your closet. \\ Your Personal Style Tip // KEEP IT SIMPLE //  Don’t choose large or bold patterns. We want your pretty face as the focus. KEEP THE STRAPS // Strapless tops can lead to “naked” pictures… we don’t do that at LCP. KEEP IT MODEST // Your grandma should look at these images without her eyebrows raised. LOVE IT // You should love how you feel and look in your personal style. RELAX //As much as we love fashion, clothes are not the focus. You are! So be you! ASK // Get input from friends, family and LCP – we love helping coordinate outfits! Here are some of my former seniors to show you examples of how they pulled their personal look together! The Local Bohemian

The Local Bohemian

These local ladies know how to pull off the Boho look and were the inspiration for our upcoming Model Shoot. You may be surprised to find a lot of Boho style in your closet. Take a look. Here are some ways you can incorporate the Boho look with your wardrobe: Put a hat on it. Felt hats are still in this season – take it from Urban Outfitters if you don’t believe me. Add a Kimono. These light robes have taken the place of scarves (although I will always wear scarves). Find one at H&M and Urban Outfitters. Try Muted Jewel-tones and Neutral Solids and Patterns. A Bohemian is really a subtle version of a hippie 🙂 The jewel-tones and intricate patterns play on the rich dyes that were used in native costumes which heavily influence the Boho look. Go with the flow. Loose tops, dresses, skirts and locks that sway give off that laid-back vibe. Accent with Beadwork, Flora & Fauna, Embroidery, Fringe and Feathers. These details will give you the artistic flare of Boho Style and draw in the native elements that inspired the look. Lace-up your Strappy sandals and chunky heels. Barefoot is always preferred, but the next best thing to free your feet are straps and comfy thick heels. Wrap it up. Hair wraps and head bands keep those loose locks in order while still giving off the care-free look. Wear your sunglasses. Shades are a must because you are always out enjoying the sun. Fun circles and shapes are the perfect fit for this style. Save   Boho Festival Meditate by lindsaycorrigan featuring a jersey...
